Tony Kamel is the Chairman of API. It has been Tony’s innovative foresight that spurred the growth of the company from a small enterprise serving a few airlines at John F. Kennedy Airport in New York, in 1984 to a full service Travel Management Company. API currently serves over eighty-five major air transportation companies on a global basis.
Tony started his career in the hotel industry after completing his formal education in Paris, France. His working experience at Trust House Forte, Sheraton and Marriott Hotels kindled his passion for customer service. Further, his belief in true professionalism, honesty and integrity set the foundation for his lofty goals, which to this day, is the hallmark and culture of the company he oversees. Tony’s inventive ideas and its successful execution have positioned him a pioneer in this very specialized international market.
In the process of realizing his vision, Tony committed API to serve its customers in managing their crew accommodations worldwide, by harnessing the power of sophisticated technology, backed by an organization comprising of highly experienced and skilled professionals. In turn, this has established API the global leader in Airline Crew Accommodation services arena.
Fred leads all aspects of API’s expansion and the execution of the company’s strategic vision. Fred has undertaken the task to ensure that API evolves in tandem with the changing needs of the company’s customers within this very dynamic global market.
Fred is focused on the success of API’s customer’s strategic objectives as it relates to API’s turnkey solution services to the airline community. He has positioned, and currently drives the collective power of API’s technologies and services to provide the tools and solutions needed by its customers to succeed. Fred’s experience with a strong background in hotel sales and airport operations enables him to comprehend the complex challenges of Global Airline Crew Accommodation Management.
He leads the company with a visionary approach coupled by a passion to clearly understand API’s individual customer’s true needs and expectations by working together towards mutually defined objectives. He then commits the resources of the company to execute towards the agreed upon goals. Fred believes that this collaborative effort is the main criteria that will contribute to the success of API’s customers. He concludes that ultimately, it is the key to the overall success of API.
Rich is responsible for all of API’s day to day operations and reports directly to the API Board. Rich’s mission is to develop and execute on the company strategy and lead the growth of the company into the future.
Rich is a seasoned executive and entrepreneur and co-founded Dealertrack Technologies in late 2000. Most recently at Dealertrack, Rich was Executive Vice President, Technology and Service Solutions. Prior to that Rich served various roles at Dealertrack until, as a public company, it was acquired by Cox Automotive in late 2015 for approximately $4.5 billion.
From 1996 to 2001, Mr. McLeer was Senior Vice President and National Product Director for the Bank of America Auto Group, and previously held a variety of marketing, sales and business development positions at Bank of America. Prior to that, Mr. McLeer worked at Trans Union Corporation from 1993 to 1996. Other previous experience includes two years serving as controller of Ellesse, U.S.A., a division of Reebok, and four years in public accounting at Ernst & Young. Mr. McLeer holds a BS in Accounting from Hofstra University and is a CPA.
As Chief Commercial Officer of API, Ramzi is responsible for all standard operations of the company. He provides day to day leadership and management to all divisions within API. Ramzi’s consistent vision to best in class client satisfaction continues to ensure API maintains its position as the leader in world-wide crew accommodations management. His knowledge and expertise has allowed him to build a team of highly organized professionals that each specialize in a unique area of industry to ensure that API has the proper operational controls, reporting procedures, data analysis and training and development in place to deliver best in class operational efficiency while guaranteeing an unsurpassed experience to API’s clients.
Ramzi joined API in 1999 with a strong background in airport operations. Initially, he led the operations team and all hotel service desks at John F. Kennedy International Airport. His efforts in streamlining processes coupled with his leadership skills ensured rapid responses to the challenging environment of fast paced, last minute needs and requests of both national and international travelers. Ramzi transitioned into a Business Development and Sales role at API in 2005. His keen understanding of the detailed needs of our clients supported by a well-defined process in sourcing, negotiating, operations and technical support enabled him to achieve remarkable success throughout the Crew Accommodations Management cycle. In 2014, Ramzi was elevated to Executive Vice President to ensure the strengthening of our key service delivery systems was executed with precision. He continues to negotiate terms and conditions that promote long-term relationships between API, the airlines and our our hotel partners to make certain API’s clients are served with distinction.
To ensure the continuity of API’s service delivery commitments, Ramzi travels globally to meet, assess and convey amendments to address our client’s ever changing needs and expectations.
Ramzi is a graduate of Cleveland State University and holds a bachelor’s degree in Marketing.
Raymond D’Aponte is the Chief Financial Officer of API, leading all areas of API’s accounting and financial activities. Ray’s mission is to position the accounting and finance team to go beyond delivering numbers and enable the team to drive corporate strategy and play a vital role in ensuring value creation over time.
Prior to API, Ray served as the CFO for Planet Payment, Inc., a leading provider of international and multi-currency processing. Prior to that Ray served as Planet Payments Senior Vice President, Finance and Vice President, Finance. Ray played a key role in taking Planet Payment from an AIM listed company to a NASDAQ listed company before being acquired in late 2017 by Fintrax Group.
From March 2005 to April 2011, Ray served as Senior Director of Corporate Accounting and Finance of DealerTrack Holdings Inc., an automotive retail software solution provider. He began his career as a Certified Public Accountant in the audit practice at PricewaterhouseCoopers LLP.
Ray holds a B.A. in Accounting from Dowling College.
Donal is the Chief Product and Technology Officer for API, leading all Product Development, construction and operations.
In a 30+-year career, Donal has over 20 years of executive management experience in software and financial services organizations. He has been responsible for all phases of development and IT operations, engineering management, and leadership, with expertise in building and managing strong engineering teams that are aligned with business needs. He has led engineering teams in multi-geography, multi-product, multi-technology and multi-cultural scenarios in several industries.
Prior to API, Donal was Chief Technology Officer (CTO) for Dodge Data and Analytics - the leading construction data and analytics provider in the country. Before that Donal was VP of Engineering and Quality with Dealertrack Technologies, a leading integrated digital solutions provider to the automotive retail industry where he ran Product Development for 11 Products. His other positions have included Head of Engineering for Asset Control, a financial data management products and services company; and Misys Financial Software (now Finastra) where he served as head of engineering for Misys Retail Banking division, and subsequently for Misys Treasury and Capital Markets division.
Donal is a graduate of the Ulster University in Northern Ireland, in Computer Studies and holds professional qualifications in Systems Analysis and Design and Project Management with the British Computer Society.
As Vice President, Human Resources and General Counsel, Donna is responsible for managing API’s talent and legal functions. In this dual role, Donna partners with her business colleagues to execute the company strategy and achieve business objectives. She leverages her exceptional interpersonal and communication skills to build strong relationships and negotiate favorable outcomes. She is especially passionate about collaborating with cross-functional teams to achieve desired results.
Prior to joining API, Donna was Associate General Counsel for Dealertrack Technologies for thirteen years. In that role, Donna negotiated contracts with the company’s largest customers and strategic partners, and counseled human resources across all department functions.
After earning her JD from Harvard Law School, Donna received her initial training at Simpson, Thacher & Bartlett, where she worked for two years as a corporate associate. Donna also holds a BS in Economics from The Wharton School of the University of Pennsylvania.
As Director of Marketing, Tracey is responsible for managing API's overall brand, marketing communications, lead generation & PR.
Prior to joining API, Tracey held positions as Marketing Director at Helion Automotive Technologies, Paypro Corporation and Digital Air Strike. Additionally, Tracey worked as a Marketing Manager at DealerTrack. Tracey brings 20 years of experience in brand awareness, customer engagement, lead generation and revenue through creative and innovative marketing.
